'08 Nissan Altima

The success story continues right down to the year 2008, as the 2008 Nissan Altima is released with the anti-lock braking system as a standard feature rather than an option. Available both as a sedan and a coupe, the 2008 make of the Altima looks as promising in the market as its predecessors have been.

The powertrains of the 2008 Altima is virtually the same as the ones provided in the 2007 make of the vehicle. The I-4 engine delivers a moderate performance of 175 horsepower, while the more powerful V6 delivers a better performance of around 270 horsepower. The hybrid is capable of generating up to 198 horsepower.

The anti-lock braking system provided in the 2008 Nissan Altima ensures impeccable braking. The traction control mechanism improves stability and the anti-skid mechanism complements it. Multiple airbags are provided as a safety feature. With a subtle balance of safety, performance and comfort, this vehicle is fully equipped to be a fun yet stable family sedan.

'07 Nissan Altima

The 2007 model year proves to be quite productive for Nissan’s top of the line family sedan, as the 2007 Nissan Altima rolls out with revamped and restyled looks and a number of additional features. Moreover, a hybrid version of the vehicle running on a gas-electric ensemble motor is also released in this model year.

Even though the powertrain of the 2007 Altima is not considerably modified in the 2007 model year so far as the I-4 engine (175 horsepower) is concerned, the V6 engine does have an improved performance, now capable of delivering 270 horsepower. The hybrid version has a horsepower of 198hp.

The anti-lock braking system is available as a standard feature in most of the models of the 2007 Nissan Altima. Multiple airbags are now available in all the models of the 2007 make. Features that are optionally available in some of the models include the traction control mechanism, an anti-skid mechanism and a navigation system.

'06 Nissan Altima

One of the biggest feats of the 2006 Nissan Altima has been to continue to be in the list of top selling vehicles manufactured by Nissan. The 2006 model year does not need too many changes since the previous model year and is based on the slightly more expensive vehicle Maxima, also manufactured by Nissan.

The powertrain of the 2006 Altima still provides two options for the engine – an Inline-4 versus a V6. The I-4 engine provides a moderate horsepower of 175hp, while the V6 engines provide 250 horsepower in other models and 260 horsepower in the SE-R trim level. Both manual and automatic modes of transmission are available.

A number of features contribute to the immense success of the 2006 Nissan Altima. These include the ABS, multiple airbags for safety and an optional traction control mechanism for stability. The sportier SE-R has an improved external trim for better aerodynamics at high velocities.

'05 Nissan Altima

Reminiscent of the Maxima produced by the same manufacturer but more efficient when it comes to cost and the powertrain, the 2005 Nissan Altima happens to be one of Nissan’s success stories in the automobile market. In fact, such popularity of what was primarily designed to be a family sedan is quite a rare instance, as many auto enthusiasts would agree.

The 2005 Altima provides two options regarding the powertrain. The I-4 engine provides a moderate 175 horsepower, while the V-6 engine provides more powerful figures of 250 horsepower. Manual transmission systems are the standard feature in the vehicles.

A family sedan needs its own quota of safety features, and the 2005 Nissan Altima is no exception. The vehicle has multiple sets of airbags and an optional traction control mechanism in some of the models. The interior is redesigned for better looks in the 2005 model year and leather upholstery is available to enhance the ambiance.

2008 Nissan Altima

The 2008 Nissan Altima line brings newcomers to the popular car that Nissan has been producing for years. The biggest introductions are that of a coupe and a hybrid option.

The hybrid should come as no surprise as Japanese automakers have all been trying to compete in the hybrid market for some time now, but a car that has traditionally been known as a sedan is now offered in a true coupe model, as well.

The coupe is available in the 4-cylinder or V6 model, just as the sedan is, and with a V6 in the coupe, you end up with something considerably sportier than you would traditionally associate with the Altima. These 2008 Nissan Altima variations are sure to only increase the profile and popularity of an already very well selling car.

Hybrids are selling more units every year and, with rising gas prices and environmental concerns, they will surely only continue to sell more in the future.

2007 Nissan Altima

The 2007 Nissan Altima is one of Nissan’s best selling cars, and that is primarily because of the value you get for your dollar.

More affordable than its closest competition produced by Toyota and Honda, the car still delivers reasonable power, good gas efficiency, and is reliable as well. That gives it a stiff edge over the competition, especially when you note that the car is exceptionally well styled for a sedan.

There is a lot to appeal to buyers about this car, and price isn’t the only thing. For those who need a bit more kick to their car, the 2007 Nissan Altima is available in a V6 model, as well.

The car has all of the perks one associates with this sort of car: a nice, roomy interior, and a smooth, quiet drive for highway commutes. Everything about this car says that the customer is getting a great value for his money.

2006 Nissan Altima

The 2006 Nissan Altima is another model in a long line of excellent cars that Nissan has produced under the name of Altima. This model has been the company’s bestseller for some time now, and for good reason.

The Altima is available in both 4-Cylinder and V6 engines, depending on whether the customer prefers efficiency or a little extra power. The car is available in several different transmission configurations, including a 5 speed manual transmission, a four speed automatic on the smaller engines, a five speed automatic on the V6, and a six speed manual transmission on the sporty SE-R.

The SE-R is definitely the most performance-geared 2006 Nissan Altima. Its V6 engine comes in at 260 hp with the standard six-speed transmission, giving a regular sedan a little bit of extra kick that some drivers crave.

The Altima continues to be rated one of the best buys in its class.
